ArtLab Media Productions of NJ is dedicated to supporting and showcasing talented local artists, providing a dynamic platform to share their unique voices and creative expressions. Committed to fostering a vibrant artistic community, ArtLab is now expanding its focus to engage and inspire younger generations, offering opportunities for youngsters to develop their skills and gain exposure through the talent hunt effort.

Participation requirements, deadlines

The youngster must be between 7 and 18 (as of April 2025, the participant must still be in high school.
Youngsters will compete in groups (7 - 13 and 14-18 years old)
There are two options - Voice and Instruments.
Participants must register and submit a single performance video for initial review by December 15th , 2024, for Round 1 judgment. There are no fees associated with Round 1.
Participants who qualify for Round 2 will be notified by or before December 31st and invited for a live performance in front of judges on January 25th, 2025

The participation fee for Round 2 is $40, which includes a (one) ticket for ArtLabs's flagship Spring Concert on April 5, 2025.

Rewards

The top performer from each category (Voice and Instruments) from each age group, totaling four talents, will be selected in Round 2 and invited to perform at ArtLab's flagship Spring Concert on April 5, 2025.
All participants in Round 2 will receive a certificate of participation from ArtLab Media Productions.
The top four participants will receive award certificates.
A single top performer will be selected by live audience vote during the event for the "Art Lab Star Performer" Award, which will be accompanied by a winner's crest. ArtLab will produce a music video for the winner as part of the winner's package.

Restrictions and substitution

There are no language, nationality, or ethnicity restrictions - participants are encouraged to follow their passion.
However, in-person participation is required in Round 2 to be considered for judging.
All participants are encouraged to come and enjoy the Art Lab's Spring concert on April 5, 2025. However, the top 4 talents in Round 2 are required to participate in the Spring concert. If anyone within the top 4 participants can't commit to the April 5, 2025 event, the performance spot will be awarded to the next talent in line.
For the Spring Concert '25 performance, Artlab producers may ask the top performers for alternate performances if the content needs to be more suitable/aligned with the theme.
No contractual obligation is involved (i.e., talents are not being signed into a contract, performance obligations beyond the Spring concert as outlined above).
None of the awards offered can be substituted for cash value and are not transferrable.

Judging process

Artlab will facilitate the judging, and the final decisions are non-appealable.
